Red Carpet Soiree 2011 & Mechanical Engineering Week

September 30th, 2011. A hectic yet memorable day. I haven't sleep for more than 24 hours to finish up my Gearbox Assignment, and I had to prepare a speech. In the end, I get to finally went for my first ever Prom, the Red Carpet Soiree 2011. On the day itself I had to give a speech for the Closing Ceremony of the Curtin Mechanical Engineering Week, in the evening. Which is one of the reason I came pretty late for the Red Carpet and didn't manage to take much photos.. I shall update you with my Mechanical Engineering Week 2011 soon! :)

Here's some of the photos of me and my friends at prom.. I was so happy that I finally get to go for Prom and wear what I've always wanted to wear. I managed to actually make some of my friends to come along hahah! We had so much fun. It's so nice to actually hang out and have each one of my friend dress up! It's such a great feeling! I would definitely want to throw a party like this, just so I can get my friends put their dress-up mode on again!

Why? Coz I really like guys in suit and girls in dresses!

For my look, I have always liked the whole Old Hollywood style, like Marilyn Monroe, or Christina Aguilera style from her Back to Basic Album.. So I wanted the whole look as my first Prom look. I went searching for my dress high and low, everywhere I could reach, for the perfect one. I finally found this one, champagne colour with exquisite design. The detailing is just amazing! I just knew from the first time I set my eye on it I just had to have it as my first Prom's dress :)

I opt for the Old Hollywood beauty look, red lips with golden glittery eye make-up. It was my first time putting on such make up and I'm glad I did it just nice for that night :D
